Sunday’s weather forecast was dire!
It
was so disappointing to see a covering of snow first thing in the morning.
Pensford Tennis Club members are hardy and enthusiastic souls and despite the
weather, there was a record turnout. Luckily, the snow quickly thawed and the
sun soon dried out the courts. In spite of frequent snow flurries, we managed to
play some exhilarating if not bracing tennis.
We
all enjoyed an excellent lunch courtesy of Roger Stephenson who kindly promised
to cook a barbecue come rain or shine. We washed it all down with a glass or two
of wine or cups of coffee.

was wonderful to see so many members and a good time was had by all.
